The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian Hindu book compiled by Vatsyayana in about the 3rd Century. It was originally written in Sanskrit.
Kama Sutra
The Kama Sutra It is the oldest known book, that deals with the art of sensual living.

The title of the book, “Kama Sutra”, literally translated, means “a treatise on pleasure”.

It is most famous for it’s fabulous drawings; depicting very acrobatic sexual positions. There is a section that specifically deals with practical advice on sexual intercourse.

However, it is more than that, and can, in it’s simplest form, be seen as a comprehensive guide on how to live the good life.

We suggest that Kamasutra is worth a follow.

Whatever happened to Boy George?

Boy George was born in Kent in 1961, as George Alan O’Dowd.

Malcolm McLaren (who managed the Sex Pistols) organized for a young Boy George to perform with the group Bow Wow Wow. It was an absolute disaster and he was at one time boo’d off the stage.

He eventually teamed up with Mickey Craig and John Moss. They went through a couple of bandnames, including “Praise of Lemmings” and “Sex Gang Children”. They were an odd lot: a Transvestite, Black Man and Jew. They eventually settled on the more apt “Culture Club”.

As the Culture Club, they were to become famous. Their debut album “Kissing to be Clever” was released in 1982 and the single, “Do you Really want to Hurt Me”, shot to the number 1 position on many international charts.

They followed this up with an albulm called “Colour by Numbers” and the single off this albulm, “Karma Chameleon” really catapulted Boy George to stardom. It was number 1 on the charts in no less than sixteen countries.

A relativeley unsuccesful solo career, by comparison, followed. So did drug addiction, stints in rehab, culminating in a prison sentence in 2009.

He was sentenced to 15 months in prison for assault and “false imprisonment” of a male escort, who he locked in his flat in London!

What a colourful character!

We would definatley consider Boy George worth a “follow” on Twitter.

double yolk egg

I was making scrambled eggs for my family this morning and was shocked by the first egg, as it had a double yolk. To be honest I have never seen this before!
double yolks
According to one source – “The chances of cracking open a double yolked egg are pretty slim. One tenth of one per cent in fact.”

To my astonishment, the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth egg were also all “double yolked”!

What are the odds of having six (6) double yolked eggs in one single box of six eggs?

One source puts it at “a trillion to one”!

If there is a statastician out there who would like to weigh in here, that would be appreciated.

From Wikipedia:
eggs in a carton
“Double-yolk eggs happen when ovulation occurs too rapidly. Also, when one yolk becomes joined with another yolk.

Double yolked eggs may happen when a young hen’s reproductive cycle not yet being synchronized.

Some hybrid breeds of hens also produce double-yolk eggs by default. India, apparently, produces eggs like this.”

So, whatever the odds our family had a very lucky and rare breakfast! I am off to buy a Lotto ticket!

We are huge fans of Iain Banks!

In fact, we are such huge fans that we are making a rare exception here at ArbitraryTweets. He doesn’t officially have a Twitter account, rather his London Literary Agents, have “place held” his account for him.
iain banks
Iain Banks is a Scottish writer (born 1954). He signs his books in two ways:

1. Iain Banks for his regular works of fiction,

and

2. Iain “M” Banks for his science fiction series of novels called the “culture” series. (The “M” stands for his adopted middle name Menzies. Go figure.)

His first book, called “The Wasp Factory“, was published in 1984. It is the most astounding (and dark) novel I have ever read (I don’t normally write in the first here)! Mind blowing stuff.

Another one of his amazing creations is “The Player of Games“, from the culture series. It is the closest I think anyone has come to predicting what society will be like in 500 years time. (Look out for, what I call, the “floating i-pad.)

If you have nover read Iain Banks, then do yourself a favour and go to Amazon and get these two books (click on the two images below). You will not be sorry!

Billy Idol ladies and gentlemen!

Billy Idol White Wedding

This Punk Rocker was born “William Michael Albert Broad” on the 30th November 1955 in the United Kingdom.

Part of the Bromley Contingent and a big fan of the Sex Pistols, BILLY IDOL fronted the then popular British punk band, Generation X, from 1976 until they broke up in 1981.

Billy Idol’s first solo album, “White Wedding” was released in 1982. The single “White Wedding” became a major hit and kick started his prolific career.

We love Billy Idol for his “punkiness” and attitude. He is a survivor!

Here is a Billy Idol Music Video – White Wedding:

He has a great website: http://billyidol.net/
